Child psychology and Suicide, they are independent venues of study, wherever they are inseparably intervaried, and because of the intangibility of repercussions and consequences to environmental factors, socioeconomic status, familial-ties and affairs, negativistic impressions, educative standards and social-settings, they are closely related.

These interconnected topics are of utmost significance, because they both pose critical, even existential threats to the future of humankind., insomuch the psyches of our youth are ours for the shaping, and if poorly constructed, if not raised within positivistic environments, friendly atmospheres, socially-rich dynamical affectations, with stability and consistency, then they are lost to the whims of the world’s darker aspects – of the complacent, the criminally-insane, the iniquitous and the mundane.

There are contemporary controversies surrounding the notion of child psychology being highly significant and impactful, as pertains to suicide, and the reasons leading to the epidemic, thereof.  Some of which include the cultural ideations such as masculinity (they just need to ‘man-up),’ that people are either Alphas or Betas, or are framed negatively with positive virtues, such as sentimentality, sensitivity, abstractness, introversion and intelligence., and that girls are nothing but products to be used by men for sexual fulfillment, both socially and familially.  These are sentiments shared by a large percentage of the American population, and with education and scientifically-demonstrable elucidation to the contrary, we do believe we can offset, prevent or eliminate the negative notions of depression, despondency, substance abuse, alcohol abuse, promiscuity, bullying, coping mechanisms and referrals for experiential rejection and suicide.

  • Does environment, atmosphere, sociality and interactivity (social-interaction), sociodemographic backgrounds, familial-ties, and societal affluence shape the mind of the child?

  • Are the youth significantly impacted and/or affected by social-dynamics, bullying, abusive and neglect, unkempt parenting, psychologically?  Are these facets of life influential as to the individual’s life choices, their subsequent state of mind, psychologically (negation, joy) and to varying degrees of psychosis and personality disorder(s), of which often lead to that terrible fate called suicide?

  • How can we help to prevent, or stop the rise of teenage drug use, alcoholism, meaningless sexual encounters, hopelessness, depression and the consequential end all: suicide?
